- What time does the WALK begin? 1:00 p.m.
- How many years has the WALK occurred? This is the 13th annual walk
- How much money does the WALK usually raise? Approximately $25,000
- How can I volunteer the day of the WALK? A limited number of volunteers are needed on walk day, since the walk is actively supported by Greek Week, but some set-up and post-walk tear-down people are needed.
- Who do I contact if I want to volunteer? Contact Lea Asbell-Swanger by email at ela1@psu.edu
- What's the best way to help raise money? Solicit pledges from friends, family, and co-workers or form a team of walkers who will do so as a group. Set a goal that you can share with those you ask to contribute.
- Is there a minimum amount required to WALK? $50 per walker is suggested. Each walker that raises a minimum of $100 gets a t-shirt.
- Can I walk if I didn't raise money? Yes, but you will not be registered as an official walk participant.
- What's the best way to get someone to sponsor me? It is often helpful to explain that all the money raised stays in Centre and Clinton Counties, but if you are able to share why supporting this cause is important to you personally, people will be more inclined to support your efforts.
- What is the route? The route through downtown State College is includes many of the historic fraternity houses whose members along with other Penn State IFC, Panhellenic, and NPHC organizations participate in the Walk as part of their Greek Week celebration. The Walk still starts and ends at the Central Parklet (between the post office and the high school football field) in downtown State College.
